DALLAS—New York-based IH Capital LLC is looking to expand its presence in the southern U.S. with a new Dallas office, the firm has exclusively told GlobeSt.com.
Located in downtown, IH Capital opened this spring at Republic Center. The Dallas office is led by Chance Johnson, who heads the company's Southwest Region CMBS lending platform.
“I'm confident IH Capital's local presence will result in a healthy deal flow and winning our fair share of business,” Johnson says. “Further, boots on the ground locally will provide responsiveness with firsthand local market knowledge to serve our client needs throughout the South.”
IH Capital was launched last year as the exclusive provider of origination and securitization services for CMBS loans to The Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon). IH Capital is part of Iron Hound Management Co., an advisory, investment and brokerage firm launched by Robert Verrone, a former Wachovia executive. Outside of Dallas and New York, other offices are in Charlotte, NC, and Irvine, CA.
IH Capital assisted BNY Mellon in securitizing its first pool of loans totaling $100 million in March, and just recently assisted BNY Mellon in securitizing another $172 million of loans.
Johnson joined IH Capital at the beginning of this year. Prior to joining IH Capital, he was senior vice president and managing director of Henry S. Miller's Equity Partners Group, where he led the division in debt and equity financing for the Henry S. Miller Cos. portfolio of assets and investment properties. Johnson has also served as director of acquisitions/finance for Polaris Realty Investments and Ernst & Young/Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group where he gained experience in audit and consulting engagements for commercial real estate firms and CMBS lenders.
The company added that Ken Dickey, head of originations for the firm, and Chuck Wolter, CEO, will aid Johnson in actively pursuing new business in Texas and throughout the country.
