HONG KONG—Colliers International and Mate Plus, one of Korea's largest property managers, have formed a partnership under the brand name of Colliers International, that is expected to “enhance the range and depth of its service offerings to better serve Korean clients.”
The companies say the agreement that will greatly expand collaboration and specifically that the Colliers team in Korea will comprise 40-50 professionals backed by substantially more resources and expertise.
"We have already established a strong team in Korea,” said Alan Liu, managing director, North Asia of Colliers International. “The strategic partnership with Mate Plus is a milestone in the development and expansion of our Asia business in what we regard as a key market with huge development potential. As a group, we will benefit from more listings to attract inbound investment and will be able to leverage upon Mate Plus' established client network, especially its relationships with many large conglomerates. The new set-up also offers opportunities to tap into many new Korean outbound capital sources."
Mate Plus is a rapidly-growing operation that has established itself as a major player in all property fields, providing a comprehensive set of real estate services from sales and leasing transactions, property and facilities management, to consulting, strategic planning, investment management, business administration, and tenant representation, all founded on a solid physical due diligence practice. The company is Korea's leading property manager, responsible for more than three million square metres across the country, a level that has more than doubled in the last four years. Last year, Mate Plus represented tenants in 60 new leasing contracts with total area in excess of 100,000 square meters.
