SAN ANTONIO—Los Angeles-based Laurus Corp. has completed the $12-million repositioning of the Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel

Through a complete overhaul of the property, which includes the debut of the upscale Asado Seafood & Grill restaurant and lounge, as well as new and innovative guestroom amenities, the Hilton is aiming to set itself apart from other hotel options in the area.

“The Hilton San Antonio Airport Hotel is a true reflection of the Laurus Corp. investment strategy, which is to find well located properties and use our expertise in development and asset management to completely reposition the asset, enhancing the value of the investment for our partners,” Austin Khan, chief investment officer of Laurus Corp., told GlobeSt.com.

The new restaurant offers a globally inspired menu and signature cocktails; a casual lounge adjacent to the restaurant also serves food.

As part of the upgrade, all of the hotel's 384 guestrooms were revamped and feature linens from the Hilton Serenity Bed Collection.

Additional hotel upgrades include a new lobby, concierge lounge, swimming pool and 21,000 square feet of meeting spaces. The hotel is surrounded by more than 10.5 million square feet of office space, high-end residences, and the upscale North Star Mall.

“With the completion of this $12-million renovation, we're confident that the Hilton San Antonio Airport is now the best-in-class full-service hotel in the area,” Khan says. “Our commitment to providing our guests with modern amenities and top-tier guest service is reflected in the thoughtful updates throughout the property.”
