HOUSTON--Savills Studley negotiated a long-term lease for industrial services company The Brock Group for the entire second floor at Deerwood Glen Business Park in Deer Park.
Bryant Lach, Mark O'Donnell and Derrell Curry of Savills Studley's Houston office, represented Brock in the transaction of the 38,260-square-foot lease; Ed Bowerman and David Finklea of Savills Studley's Houston office were retained as the project management consultants. Charlie Christ of Clay Development represented the landlord.
According to Lach, Brock's management team engaged Savills Studley to reevaluate their real estate strategy for several reasons, key among them being increasing growth due to Brock's work with clients in the petrochemical space.
“Real estate decisions parallel business objectives and we worked closely with the management team to identify exactly what we were trying to achieve in this move,” Lach told GlobeSt.com. “Based on their existing local presence, Brock was committed to remaining in Deer Park, close to their expanding customer base.”
"The move is a part of Brock's growth trajectory in the greater Houston area. The company continues to expand and the Deerwood Glen facility will support current and future growth," O'Donnell added. “The facility's large floor plate was also appealing to Brock, as collaboration among employees is an important component to the company's long-term strategy.”
Brock plans to move into Deerwood Glen in the early fourth quarter of this year.
