DALLAS—Restaurant-industry veteran Lane Cardwell has joined Dallas-based Falcon Realty Advisors as a director of its Restaurant & Entertainment group.

Cardwell's focus will be to advise the commercial real estate firm's clients on their strategic positioning and concept branding.

“Bringing on someone like Lane Cardwell speaks to Falcon's core commitment to go well beyond the real estate transaction and to helping our clients, particularly emerging brands, reach their full potential,” Tim Hughes, president and CEO of Falcon Realty Advisors, told GlobeSt.com. “If there's anyone who can help us do that, it's Lane.”

Cardwell has served as president of P.F. Chang's, president and CEO of Boston Market, and president and CEO of Eatzi's Market and Bakery, a joint venture with Brinker International and Phil Romano. During his time at Brinker, he also served as chief administrative officer and as a member of the board. His responsibilities included all aspects of corporate development, marketing, purchasing, acquisitions and new concept development.

In addition to his role at Falcon, Cardwell will continue to advise on positioning and branding strategies through his firm Cardwell Hospitality Advisory

“I look forward to sharing the lessons that I have learned from leadership positions with 43 restaurant concepts with the restaurant clients of Falcon,” Cardwell says. “Protecting good brands with a sound brand development strategy is our primary goal.”
