FORT WORTH--Hillwood Properties, developer of the 18,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use AllianceTexas development, has purchased approximately 260 acres in Northlake to launch the latest sector within the AllianceTexas development, Alliance Northport.
“The location of Alliance Northport extends Hillwood's AllianceTexas holdings deeper into Denton County,” Tony Crème, vice president of Hillwood Properties, told GlobeSt.com. “Alliance Northport will also have access to the to the same work force recruitment, training and retention resources that are current available to all AllianceTexas companies.”
Located on Interstate 35W (I-35W) at State Highway 114 (SH-114), across from the Texas Motor Speedway, the expansion will add over 3 million square feet to the AllianceTexas project, which currently totals over 40 million square feet. While Alliance Northport is planned for a variety of product types including retail and office, the primary focus will be class A industrial buildings. In addition, Alliance Northport will have access to the same workforce recruitment, training and retention resources that are currently available to all AllianceTexas companies through the Alliance Opportunity Center, and Tarrant County College's Corporate Training Center and Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics.
Alliance Northport is situated at one of the area's fastest growing and busiest intersections, I-35W at SH 114. This location provides close proximity to the transportation infrastructure at the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, which includes Fort Worth Alliance Airport, BNSF Railway's Alliance Intermodal Facility, the FedEx Express Southwest Regional Hub, and the recently opened UPS and FedEx Ground Hubs. Alliance Northport also has the benefit of being located in an area with an advantageous tax structure, which is one of the lowest in North Texas. The tax structure, coupled with its location in the AllianceTexas corridor, gives Alliance Northport numerous advantages over many other submarkets in North Texas.
“Northlake understands growth is coming, and we are in the direct path of one of the fastest growing areas in North Texas. We are proud of our partnership with Hillwood, which started with the development of the Harvest residential community,” says Northlake mayor Peter Dewing. “Hillwood's new Alliance Northport development at the intersection of I-35W and SH-114 matches Northlake's plan. Our vision is to keep taxes low, attract great companies, respect and welcome everyone, and limit regulations. Hillwood gets it, and we are thrilled to welcome new residents and business to Northlake.”
