DALLAS--Stonelake Capital Partners has sold Skillman Live Oak Center, a 75,201-square-foot retail center located at the intersection of La Vista Drive and Skillman and Live Oak streets in the Lakewood submarket of Dallas. The buyer is Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada.

The 65-year-old center originally was acquired by Stonelake in 2011 from four separate owners. Stonelake extensively renovated and repositioned the property, which has 11 new tenants. Today, the center is almost 90 percent occupied and features popular eateries Chip's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, Matt's El Rancho and Buzzbrews.

“The repositioning of Skillman Live Oak Center has been great for the Lakewood neighborhood and a great investment for Stonelake,” Kenneth Aboussie, Stonelake's managing partner, told GlobeSt.com. “We have enjoyed working on this transaction over the last four years and Sun Life will be a great long-term owner and steward of the property going forward.”

Grey Stogner and Staci Bowen of Crestview Real Estate are representing Sun Life in leasing and management of Skillman Live Oak Center.
