MIAMI—Stripey Development is building iconic properties around the world—including plenty in Miami. Stripey's latest project brings it to one of the hottest neighborhoods in the urban core: Edgewater.
Stripey is developing 26 Edgewater, which the company is positioning as the evolution of Edgewater and the first truly boutique residences in the heart of the district. Some other developers would argue with that, but what is true is that 26 Edgewater is minutes away from Downtown Miami attractions—and South Beach.
GlobeSt.com caught up with Alejandro Goldemberg, founder and CEO of Stripey, to find out more about the project—and other projects in the region. You can still read part one of this exclusive interview: Why You Need to Know Stripey Development.
GlobeSt.com: For 26 Edgewater, who do you envision as your end user?
Goldemberg: This project is focused on attracting local young professionals and families. Ideally situated just minutes from Downtown Miami, Miami Beach and the Design District, this project will attract those who want to be at the center of it all and have access to dining, entertainment and shopping as well as convenient amenities within the building such as a rooftop pool and fitness center.
GlobeSt.com: What has been your number one selling point at 26 Edgewater?
Goldemberg: 26 Edgewater offers exceptional architectural design with an international flair and focuses on being able to provide a quality high end product at an affordable price.
GlobeSt.com: What is your buyer make up?
Goldemberg: The majority of sales were to buyers from the US and Canada, investors looking for the specific attributes offered by this project guaranteeing a profitable venture.
GlobeSt.com: How many projects do you have in South Florida?
Goldemberg: We have four condo conversions and three new construction projects
GlobeSt.com: What are your projections for the Miami market?
Goldemberg: Miami is already on the map as a major international destination. As the real estate market grows and the city continues to develop by building more iconic structures and maturing culturally, Miami will continue to climb in global importance.
