IRVINE, CA—Auction.com has brought in another key officer from an Internet powerhouse. The online real estate marketplace has named technology finance veteran Aman Kothari as its CFO. Kothari joins Auction.com after more than 12 years at Yahoo!, where he most recently served as SVP, global controller and chief accounting officer.

In his new role, Kothari will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and growth strategies. He will be based at Auction.com's Silicon Valley offices in Belmont, CA, and report directly to CEO Tim Morse, himself a Yahoo! alumnus who joined Auction.com in May 2014 as CFO.

“Aman played an integral role in many significant transactions during his tenure at Yahoo! and I'm excited to be working with him again,” Morse says. “With his expertise, dedication and enthusiasm, he'll be a fantastic addition to Auction.com's leadership team as we continue to build the world's leading online real estate marketplace.” Before his Yahoo! tenure, Kothari was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The appointment of Kothari as CFO follows the hiring last month of Kristine Chin in the newly created role of VP of customer engagement. Chin recently concluded a 12-year run at eBay, where she held positions of increasing responsibility.
