MIAMI—Alternative workspace models continue to gain momentum in South Florida and across the nation. Locally, Pipeline Workspaces is one of the fastest growing with its unique twist on coworking.
Pipeline Workspaces is a national shared office space concept that targets diverse community of entrepreneurs, start-ups, lawyers and international business executives. The company just opened its third location in the City of Coral Gables this week.
Located in the heart of the Gables Business, Financial and Restaurant District, Pipeline Gables now operates a 14,000-square-foot shared office space at 95 Merrick Way, an office complex that is the Miami home to the prestigious Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
“We built—and are growing—Pipeline on a simple theory: diversity positively impacts success. Pipeline members are tapping into the synergies of geographic and business diversity that brings people with different experiences to interact in a highly professional and collaborative environment,” says Todd Oretsky, cofounder of Pipeline. “As with our locations in Brickell and Philadelphia, Pipeline Gables will serve as an alternative workspace hub that gathers entrepreneurs, professionals and business people who may not otherwise meet and share ideas.”
Pipeline Gables has open shared office spaces, a deposition and conference room center, dedicated desks and private offices that utilize functional and inspirational design to foster productivity, collaboration, and a sense of community among its members. Spaces include open work areas starting at $200 per month and private offices starting at $500 per month. Parking includes on-site spaces, a public parking garage across the street and additional on-street parking surrounding the building.
Members have access to four conference rooms, a social lounge, collaboration areas, a picnic table and free gourmet coffee and teas.
“Collaborative office spaces thrive in cities, and thus, are a play on the overarching urbanization and revitalization trend we're experiencing in the US,” Marty Caverly, senior vice president of Resource Real Estate tells GlobeSt.com. “Managers look to capitalize on secondary market cities with service-based economy, an increasing millennial population and access to public transit, as those areas typically provide the best value and are poised for growth.”
Pipeline Gables's tenants include Clearpath, a company that leverages cutting-edge technology to simplify the US immigration process headed by CEO Felice Gorordo; a boutique municipal governing lobbying firm Gazitua Letelier, P.A.; Oregon-based winery company Sokol Blosser Winery; film and video production company Reel City Films; Quik.IS, a North American provider of cloud-based business telephone services; and Greenstreet Cost Containment, an outsourced procurement company helping businesses reduce operating expenses.
“Our goal remains the same from day one, to serve as a catalyst for growing the local business community, while offering a diverse group of entrepreneurs access to each other's talents and resources so they can build meaningful connections and business opportunities,” says Philippe Houdard, cofounder of Pipeline. Even as the Coral Gables office space opens, Pipeline is getting ready to open more locations. Next stops—The City of Doral and Miami's Little River District. The company is developing a passport system will give members access to all Pipeline locations.
