AUSTIN--Michael Caffey has been promoted to president of CBRE Group Inc.'s Texas and Oklahoma division. Caffey is also responsible for CBRE's business in Arkansas and Louisiana.

Caffey's elevation to president reflects his “outstanding performance across a broad range of leadership attributes, including new business development, business and sales management, market and industry leadership, client relationships and people management,” the company says. He will report to Cal Frese, chief executive officer, the Americas, CBRE.

“This is a well-deserved promotion for Michael,” says Frese. “He has consistently delivered results, including our recent acquisition of UCR, which has significantly expanded our retail capabilities both in Texas and throughout the country. We look forward to his continued leadership as we build advantage for our clients in the Texas area and beyond.”

Caffey was previously executive managing director for CBRE's Texas and Oklahoma division. Prior to that, he was the senior managing director in CBRE's Dallas office, responsible for setting and deploying the local business strategy for Global Corporate Services (now called Global Workplace Solutions), tenant representation and retail services. Before CBRE, Caffey served as a senior vice president of corporate services with Trammell Crow Co. He also served as a vice president of tenant representation at JLL.

"I am fortunate to live and work in one of the most dynamic and successful regions in the U.S. and to work with the real estate industry's most talented and hard-working team,” Caffey told GlobeSt.com. “I continue to be excited about the opportunities to build advantage for our valued clients and expect that this will support our plan to expand our leadership position in the region.”
