EDISON, NJ—Packaging and Distribution Resources, a major warehouse, distribution and assembly services company, will relocate its operations from Sayreville, NJ to Edison with the signing of a new long-term lease for 140,000 square feet of industrial space at 40-48 Sawmill Pond Road South, in Heller Park, Edison, NJ.
At the same time, PDR leased 4,000 square feet of corporate office space at Raritan Plaza 1, a glass facade class A office building connected to the Sheraton Edison Hotel and Conference Center at Raritan Center in Edison, NJ, near Heller Park.
"The 40-48 Sawmill Pond Road South building offers numerous advantages to PDR," says David Zimmel. "The ceiling heights are 36 feet, as compared to 24 ft. at their Sayreville location. They will gain 50 percent more cubic space per square feet allowing for more pallet positions and storage capacity per square feet. It is a much more efficient use of space, and was a major selling point."
Additional features of PDR's new space include 15 tailboard loading docks, high volume ESFR sprinklers, 6,000 square feet of office space, ample parking and a stellar location off of Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95), at the crossroads of Interstate 287/440, the Garden State Parkway, and US Routes 1 and 9. Known for its outstanding location and well-maintained buildings, Heller Park Edison contains 8 million square feet.
