DCT Industrial Trust To Build Two-Asset Project in Dulles

DULLES, VA—DCT Industrial Trust has signed some 1.3 million square feet since the end of July, when it announced its Q2 earnings. Among the transactions: a full pre-lease for a two-building, 299,000-square foot development in the Dulles/Route 28 Corridor submarket.

The development site is called DCT Downs Park, according to DCT's website. The REIT owns 25.8 acres there, which can accommodate up to 300,000 square feet. It is, in fact, one of many development sites it owns across the US. Land holdings range from 3.6 million at the Southern California Logistics Airport to 102,000 in Orlando, FL to 532,000 square feet in Atlanta.

Liberty Property Buys Land in Cheverly, MD

COLUMBIA, MD—Liberty Property has acquired 18.30 acres of land at 5800 Sheriff Rd. in the Cheverly submarket, for $4.75 million. Liberty Property is pursuing permits for the construction of a new 225,000-square foot warehouse and distribution building. Christopher Kubler of NAI KLNB represented the buyer, with the seller, American Resource Management Group, represented by Uhar & Co.
