HOUSTON--Data Foundry is celebrating the grand opening of Houston 2, a 350,000-square-foot colocation data center, and investment in the Greenspoint District.

Located in what's also known as the city's Tech Corridor, the carrier-neutral data center is owned and operated by Data Foundry and provides colocation, managed services and dedicated office space to businesses requiring uptime, connectivity and room for growth. Houston 2 is the company's second data center in Houston, and it "was built as a response to businesses voicing their need for a premium data center in the Houston area."

“The Greenspoint District is strategically located at the convergence of the fiber lines that feed Houston, running north/south from Chicago and east/west from Orlando to San Diego,” Greg Simpson, president, Greenspoint District, told GlobeSt.com.

“Additionally, more than a dozen long haul and last mile carriers have available fiber optic cable in Greenspoint. The combination of these two factors makes the Greenspoint District an ideal location for companies who rely on robust, diverse, and redundant access to telecom to call home.”
