PORTSMOUTH, NH—Veteran hotel executive and broker Kenneth Wayne Ford has died from complications following a recent automobile accident.

Ford, 44, was a director and officer with Portsmouth, NH-based National Hotel Realty and New England Hotel Realty. Ford, who had more than 20 years hotel experience, served as vice president of National Hotel Realty and New England Hotel Realty and also played a key role in the firms' affiliate Lodging Econometrics, a global real estate consultancy and intelligence business. He led both National Hotel Realty's and New England Hotel Realty's hotel brokerage activities. His expertise was in hotel management and asset management, and was also considered a turnaround expert, real estate advisor and consultant. He was a certified hotel broker. The announcement of his death was reported by National Hotel Realty and Lodging Econometrics.

According to multiple reports, Wayne, a resident of Barrington, VT, died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH on Sunday, Nov. 1 from complications following an automobile accident in Dover, NH. His funeral was held last Friday.

Characterized as a vigorous contributor to youth activities in the Greater Dover area, Ford was a past chair of the Advisory Board of St. Mary Academy in Dover, NH. He formed the community's first Boy Scout Pack in 20 years and was also a Scoutmaster.

Ford held a Bachelor's Degree from Assumption College, Worcester, MA and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. He was a New Hampshire All-State linebacker in high school and played football in college. He is survived by his wife and three children, father, sister and four brothers.
