MORRISTOWN, NJ—After more than 25 years in Mount Olive, The Rockefeller Group's New Jersey office is relocating to Headquarters Plaza in downtown Morristown, a 706,000-square-foot, Class A office complex situated just off the town's historic Green. The commercial and residential real estate development company, which has roots in the New Jersey market, will occupy 7,000 square feet on the 9th floor of the complex's North Tower.

"As thriving downtown districts continue to drive today's office leasing activity, it became clear to us that Morristown is the ideal location to further grow our New Jersey operations," says Clark Machemer, senior vice president and regional development officer for The Rockefeller Group's New Jersey/Pennsylvania office. "With its location in the heart of Morristown and just a short walk to the train station, we're confident that Headquarters Plaza, from a strategy, recruiting and development perspective, is the perfect home for our New Jersey and Pennsylvania operations."

World-class architecture firm Gensler led the redesign of The Rockefeller Group's new office, transforming the space into a modern open floor plan equipped with executive offices, conference rooms and a common area for employees to gather. The lobby of the North Tower was also recently renovated. Robert Donnelly, Jr., executive vice president of Cushman & Wakefield and exclusive leasing agent for Headquarters Plaza, represented The Rockefeller Group in the office relocation.

"The Rockefeller Group recognized the trend of having their office location within a vibrant, downtown location in order to be able to attract today's workforce," Donnelly tells GlobeSt.com exclusively. "Morristown is a true live, work, play location with NJ Transit to NYC."

Headquarters Plaza, already home to several Fortune 500 companies, features an unparalleled variety of amenities including a 41,000-square-foot health club, hand and stone facial spa, movie theatre, dry cleaners, sundries shop and various dining options. The Hyatt Morristown, which recently underwent a $12 million renovation, is also located within the office complex.

"New Jersey has always been an integral market for us and we're thrilled to embark on the next phase of our success at our new headquarters, which is set at the center of one of New Jersey's great towns and will provide us with access to countless amenities," Machemer says.
