FORT WORTH--Reserve at McAlister, a community for adults 55 and over in south Fort Worth, has completed construction and is open for its first residents.

General contractor KWA Construction began the project last fall. The 107,000-square-foot, 124-unit project from Ohio-based developer Miller-Valentine Group was designed by Kelly Grossman Architects.

"Reserve at McAlister is one of the top quality apartments in the Fort Worth area, and its high-end amenities cater perfectly to the mature market," Brian Webster, vice president of KWA Construction, told GlobeSt.com.

"For our project team, the goal was to build quality apartments with many high-end amenities and deliver an independent lifestyle to the mature market of Fort Worth," says Chris Applequist, senior developer of the southwest region at Miller-Valentine Group.

Located at 432 McAlister Road, between Hemphill Street and Interstate 35W, the one- and two-bedroom upscale apartment community offers high-end amenities typically found in detached family homes, including fully equipped gourmet kitchens with energy efficient appliances. The community grounds feature a fitness center, media and business centers and a swimming pool, as well as a large multi-purpose community room with a kitchen and dining area.

KWA Construction specializes in multifamily construction, and is working on multiple projects in senior living, including Hillside West in North Oak Cliff and Heritage Village in Hurst.
