HOUSTON—Longtime Dallas-based retailer Saint Bernard (formerly St. Bernard Sports) is expanding to Houston and Austin; the company has announced it will open new locations in the River Oaks District and The Domain.

The family owned and operated retailer, which is expected to reach $28 million in sales this year, currently has its flagship and outlet stores in Dallas and another location in downtown Austin's 2ND Street District. The 12,442-square-foot River Oaks District store is slated for an early spring 2016 opening, and the 12,000-square-foot location in The Domain will follow in the fall.

"Helping customers get excited for adventure with exceptional product and service has been our core offering in Dallas since 1978," Charlie Goyer, chief operating officer of Saint Bernard, told GlobeSt.com. "We know how much Houston and Austin residents love to travel and explore, and we're looking forward to getting them ready with the best selection of brands and customer service available."

Dean Vanderfriff with CBRE| UCR, serves as Saint Bernard's retail consultant. He represented the retailer in site selections and lease negotiations for the new locations. Sasha Levine, also with CBRE| UCR, helped secure the Houston site.

"I've worked with Saint Bernard since they first expanded to Austin in 2007," says Vandergriff, first vice president at CBRE | UCR. "With these two new stores in Austin and Houston, Saint Bernard can aptly reach their growing customer base in Texas."

In addition, both locations garner significant international consumers and have desirable co-tenancies.
