HILLSIDE, NJ—Cushman & Wakefield employees sorted nearly six tons of donated food product during a company-sponsored holiday season volunteer project at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.
With an additional facility in Egg Harbor Township, CFBNJ feeds nearly one million people each year, according to Faye Kuhn, director of volunteer services.
Each bin sorted by the Cushman & Wakefield employees will ultimately produce 35 boxes of food, totaling 490 repacked boxes, with their combined 75 hours of service ultimately resulting in 11,025 pounds of food for distribution. In addition to their morning of volunteerism, the commercial real estate services firm's employees also raised $3,000 to fund the purchase of fresh produce and healthy foods for CFBNJ.
