ROSELLE, NJ—The former Roselle Golf Club is being repurposed into a new 932-unit market-rate, luxury apartment community, The Park.

Work began on the conversion last month after some six years of planning, which included significant input from the surrounding community and many professionals.

"The Park will transform an underutilized private golf course into an amazing new apartment community and a wonderful 20-acre park," says Roselle Mayor Christine Dansereau.  "This will be a great place to live, and enable current residents looking for new, construction and luxury living to stay in Roselle, and will introduce Roselle to new residents who are looking to improve their quality of life, while still being close to all the transit, shopping and entertainment options the area already has to offer."

The first of the complex's five phases of construction will include 190 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes that will feature hard wood laminate floors, granite countertops, in-unit washer/dryer, nine-foot ceilings, central AC and gas heat, gas stoves, and high speed internet.  Amenities planned for the development a 20-acre park, a 9,000 square-foot clubhouse with a professional state of the art gym, pet spa, movie theater, billiards room, resort-style pool and outdoor entertainment area, dog park, bocce court and a three-mile fitness trail.

"The Park replaces what had been destination for our community's previous generations with a point of pride for future generations," says New Jersey Assemblyman Jamel Holley.  "This new use will bring economic and cultural vitality by creating new jobs, generating new financial opportunities for the borough, inviting in new neighbors and keeping existing ones."

Construction on the first phase is scheduled to begin this month, and the developer anticipates the leasing office will opening in spring 2017.  The community will be built in five phases over the next eight years.

"The Park is a unique new apartment community which offers a much better quality of life for residents than anything else in the area," says developer David Lloyds.  "Pet lovers will appreciate our state of the art pet spa, large secure dog run, and of course the adjacent park. Commuters will discover that they have easy access to Newark and New York City via bus 112 that stops within a block of The Park, or take the train via the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line in Linden or the Raritan Valley Line in Cranford which are located only one mile away.  The Park is also just minutes from the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike."
