PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA—LEGO fanatics in the Delaware Valley will be turning their eyes to the Plymouth Meeting Mall, with the announcement that A LEGOLAND Discovery Center, an indoor family attraction concept developed by Merlin Entertainments, is coming to the Montgomery County center.

The new location will occupy approximately 33,000 square feet at the mall, where construction will begin this summer, with a grand opening projected for spring 2017.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centers offer creative recreational activities derived from the traditional LEGO products, suited for children ages 3 to 10. The Plymouth Meeting location, like other LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, will include an original MINILAND exhibit, a unique display of the iconic landmarks in Center City Philadelphia.

"As the only LEGOLAND Discovery Center in the region, it was very important to select a location that had exceptional accessibility to major highways and growing suburban markets, situated within an attractive leisure lifestyle environment," says Michael Salove, president and CEO of MSC Retail. Salove and Dana Zamparelli, retail guru at MSC Retail, are the exclusive leasing specialists in the Greater Philadelphia Region for Merlin's national advisor, Samuels & Company

"LEGOLAND Discovery Center will stimulate Philadelphia's growing experiential retail market, especially at Plymouth Meeting Mall, offering a new opportunity for family fun and learning, as they have done elsewhere," says Howard Samuels, president of Samuels & Company.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center will join a variety of retailers, including Macy's, Orvis, J. Crew Factory, AMC Theatres, Dave & Buster's, Whole Foods Market, and California Pizza Kitchen at Plymouth Meeting Mall, which is owned and operated by PREIT.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center currently operates seven locations in North America and 15 worldwide, stretching from Toronto/Boston/New York in the northeast; to Chicago/Kansas City/Dallas in the Midwest; to Atlanta in the south.
