
NEWARK, NJ —165 Halsey Street, a dedicated 1.2 million square foot data center/colocation/telecom carrier hotel offering affordable space, power and interconnection services, is experiencing tenant growth with new leasing commitments from new and existing customers in Q1 2016.
“165 Halsey Street has had quite the evolution since the late 1990s,” says Joseph Simone, president at Tishman Real Estate Services for 165 Halsey Street. “In the late 90s, the building became one of the leading telecom carrier hotels with mostly telecom customers. In 2000, we created our first 'Meet Me Room' and have since expanded into a far more robust colo offering. This created the opportunity for enterprise users to take advantage of the networks in our building. We're now at a point where we serve some of the largest players, including 19 Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries; financial, healthcare, technology, content, medical, government and more. Of 165 Halsey Street's five colocation rooms, two are 100 percent occupied, with remaining data center availability in colocation rooms III, IV and V. 165 Halsey Street also offers more than 31,300 square feet of built data center space and 61,500 square feet of vacant space.
