WASHINGTON, DC—Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has recruited Bart Drummond to join its Washington, DC office as executive managing director. He will focus exclusively on tenant representation throughout the Washington metropolitan area.

Drummond previously was executive director with Cushman & Wakefield's Tenant Advisory Group. His clients have included Catalyst Health Solutions, Blackboard, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, Ernst & Young, Booz Allen Hamilton, and The Washington Post.

Prudential Real Estate Buys Penn 95 Industrial Buildings for $33M

BALTIMORE-Prudential Real Estate Advisors has acquired two industrial buildings totaling nearly 300,000 square feet of office/warehouse space within the Penn 95 Commerce Center in Prince George's County for $33 million. The buildings are a 167,500 square foot speculative warehouse building and build-to-suit 117,000 square foot building for the manufacturing and warehouse operations for the Thompson Creek Window Co. The spec warehouse still has about 100,000 square feet of space to lease.

The seller was a partnership between Chesapeake Real Estate Group and principals from the Thompson Creek Window Co.

Matt Laraway, a partner at Chesapeake Real Estate Group, said that market conditions for this product type in suburban Maryland remain extremely favorable for the lease-up of the remaining available space.
