NEW YORK CITY—Honest Buildings and MRI Software said Thursday they had integrated their platforms to provide further collaboration to real estate ownership teams. Honest Buildings' project management platform is now integrated with MRI's financial and JobCost solutions, thereby allowing full project teams to collaborate in real time.

This enables joint customers of New York City-based Honest Buildings and Cleveland-based MRI to reduce the potential for errors inevitably resulting from dual entry of data. For example, invoice administration becomes streamlined between an operational system that tracks projects to keep them on time and on budget and an accounting system.

“Our goal is to create a simple and transparent flow of information, removing any barriers teams face in accessing their own data to help drive smarter decisions,” says Geoff Lewis, VP of product at Honest Buildings. The integration, Lewis says, was “built with the direct input of our users to address real pain points that exist between project management and accounting processes.”

At George Comfort & Sons, an Honest Buildings client that has activated the MRI integration for its New York City portfolio, director of asset management Dan Dilmanian says, “Honest Buildings has become our system of record for capital and tenant improvement projects where we track costs in the same place we track jobs, giving our team much more time to focus on asset value creation instead of spending time on administrative data entry.” With the integration, he adds, team members “now have all they need at a glance instead of having to search through e-mails and shared drives for data.”
