This is true for both Millennials, who are leading the trend, and the baby boomer demographic. Highly amenitized multifamily properties are the leading trend in multifamily design.
While this trend may not be new—we've seen amenities become important over the last few years—it does inform how architects and designers are planning new projects. We sat down with Schoolmeester to talk about how the trend toward amenities is informing their design aesthetic. We also talk to him about the new projects that he is working on, other shifts in ways that people want to live and how “placemaking” has become a new buzzword.
