MIAMI—David Fleisher has switched commercial realestate allegiances. The industry veteran has come on boardFranklin Street as a regional managing partner for Browardand Palm Beach counties.

Fleisher replaces Greg Matus, who was promoted last year to senior vice president of investmentsales, a national role within the company. Matus oversaw all threeSouth Florida counties since his arrival in 2014, but the firm'sgrowth here prompted the company to split up the positions forBroward/Palm Beach and Miami.

“I'm joining at a time when all asset types are in high demandwith little inventory available, especially on the multifamily front,” Fleisher tellsGlobeSt.com. “Developers have been quickly trying to fill thisdemand with many new projects coming online and/or in development.Larger mixed-use properties are being considered all over the SouthFlorida market, including those that combine multifamily,retail and office elements to create a dynamiclive-work-play environment. Before joining Franklin Street, Fleisher served as director ofbusiness services for Bluegreen Vacations, one of thelargest independent vacation ownership companies in the US. Heoversaw the company's resort client relationships, as well asprepared and presented financial models for acquisitions and newclient development in the US and Caribbean. During his tenure, hemanaged client relationships whose sales have accounted for morethan $1.2 billion in vacation ownership sales since 2009.

Fleisher previously co-founded LOB Companies,specializing in the acquisition, management and disposition ofvalue-add multifamily apartment properties across Florida.Earlier in his career, he worked with Marcus & Millichapin South Florida, focusing on multifamily investmentsales. He has completed acquisitions and dispositions of realestate and companies valued at more than $350 million.

“We want to continue building out our strong retail andmultifamily platforms in Broward and introduce both of theselines immediately in Palm Beach,” says Fleisher. “Down the road,our plan is to add office and industrial capabilitiesin both counties.
