Bank of the West Tower

SACRAMENTO—The Bank of the West Tower located at 500 Capitol Mall is a 26-story 450,000-square-foot office building completed in 2009. The tower was developed by Angelo G. Tsakopoulos of Tsakopoulos Investments. Tsakopoulos is also the property manager for the building.

The tower fully clad in polished Brazilian granite ascends 25 stories, offering sweeping views of the Sierras, the Sacramento River, the Sacramento skyline and the state capitol. In 2014, Bank of the West Tower was the first Capitol Mall class-A high rise to earn LEED Platinum. Bank of the West Tower also earned the ENERGY STAR label in 2014.

The CBD asset has 445,000 rentable square feet. The tower has abundant amenities including on-site building management, 24-hour security, fitness center with shower and locker facilities, cable-ready access, legislative audio access, overnight express center, Specialty's Cafe & Bakery and on-site parking.

Many of Sacramento's most prestigious law firms and corporations have located to the building. Buchalter is one of those firms that has recently secured permanent space totaling 12,000 square feet.

“Within only a few months after entering the Sacramento market, Buchalter has built a full-service office with 13 lawyers offering transactional and litigation services,” Jim Dyer, managing shareholder of Buchalter's Sacramento office, tells GlobeSt.com.

Buchalter was represented by Scott Bennett of Colliers International and Tsakopoulos Investments was represented by Greg Levi of Jones Lang LaSalle.

“We chose 500 Capitol Mall because Angelo and his team provided an unparalleled level of service and welcomed us with open arms,” said Adam J. Bass, president and chief executive officer of Buchalter.

Buchalter also has offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Napa Valley and Scottsdale.
