DALLAS—Deep Ellum has its first high-rise multifamily community, the Case Building. And, it is the city's newest urban in-fill property. The 17-story residential building is located in the historic Deep Ellum neighborhood at 3131 Main St. at the intersection of Hall and Main streets, just south of Baylor Medical Center and east of downtown, with proximity to the Arts District.

The 337 apartment homes developed by StreetLights Residential and Westdale are geared for those who want to live, work and play in the city center. The Case Building includes options of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, with size ranges from 500 to 1,300 square feet. The residences mirror the industrial feel of the area with 10-foot concrete ceilings and exposed brick walls.

Recognizing the importance and presence of art in the neighborhood, murals from local artists also have been incorporated into the interior design.

“The Case Building will also have a rotating gallery wall,” Lesli Marshall of Articulation Art, a local art consulting firm, tells GlobeSt.com. “The wall will feature local Deep Ellum artists, yet another way StreetLights is incorporating the authenticity of the neighborhood into the building.”

The community offers amenities designed to fit an urban lifestyle including several co-working spaces, private meeting rooms, catering kitchen for entertaining, private resident bar, pet wash, bike storage, expansive fitness center with yoga, barre, spin bikes, cross training spaces and a pool deck.

“Our team's hard work and the support from our partners have helped bring this project together just as we envisioned,” said StreetLights CEO Doug Chesnut. “We wanted to make this project feel as authentic as the Deep Ellum neighborhood is today, and with the design, architecture and interiors, I think we have created that atmosphere for residents.”

StreetLights Residential developed the project and SLR Construction LLC served as general contractor. The interior units were designed by the creative team at StreetLights Residential. The building's interior amenity areas were designed out of New York City by prominent hospitality designer MARKZEFF, with furnishings executed by local Dallas designer 5G Studio Collaborative. The building's architecture was designed by WDG Architecture, and the landscape was designed by Studio Outside. Westdale is managing the apartment community.
