NEW YORK CITY—Whole Foods Market 365 will open its first East Coast store at Two Trees Management's property located at 300 Ashland in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The opening of the 40,000 square-foot natural foods supermarket is scheduled for Jan. 31, 2018.
The store will include a coffee bar and bakery by Orwashers, a Next Level Burger, which serves 100% plant-based burgers, and an organic juice bar by Juice Press. With the Friends of 365 program, the company invites outside chefs, food and lifestyle brands, and professionals in the culinary world to sell products at the market.
The Whole Foods Market 365 chain offers organic, natural, health foods at less expensive prices. Marketed to millennials, it increases digital opportunities for customers to use personal electronic devices while grocery shopping.

The 32-story, 379-unit, mixed-use building at 300 Ashland opened in 2016. In June, Two Trees unveiled a 10,000 square-foot public plaza at the street level of the development. Enrique Norten of Ten Arquitectos designed both the tower and the plaza. Anchored by the Whole Foods Market 365 and an Apple Store, the property is located near BAM Cinemas, 651 ARTS dance studios and a Brooklyn Public Library branch.
