MIAMI—Commercial brokerage firm Avison Young has expanded its global Valuation & Advisory Services platform, under its growing Capital Services Market Group, to Florida.

The service line now available in Florida is based in Miami. Avison Young director of valuation & advisory services Chris Peckholdt, MAI, AI-GRS, has joined the Florida Capital Markets Group led by Michael T. Fay, principal and managing director of the firm’s Miami operations. In 2017, the Capital Markets Group had a record year for sale volume in Florida, doubling its 2016 sales performance, and company officials note that sales volume is on the rise thus far in 2018 as well.

Peckholdt has been working in the field of real estate valuation and consulting for more than a decade. He has appraised a wide variety of income-producing properties and prepared appraisal and market studies for multiple purposes including institutional portfolio valuation, arbitration, estate planning, gifting, income tax, lease negotiation, litigation, and various corporate planning purposes.

He graduated from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree. He is also an MAI, AI-GRS designated member of the Appraisal Institute.
