BALTIMORE–Following another purchase it just made in this market, Dallas-based Colony Industrial has acquired a portfolio of two warehouse properties here that are located at 8901 and 8965 Yellow Brick Road. Colony Industrial is the light industrial platform of Colony Capital.

Colony Industrial acquired the Yellow Brick Road Portfolio days ago. The properties total 219,760 square feet and offer immediate access to Interstate 95 and Interstate 695. The buildings are 100% leased to six tenants.

This latest acquisition in Baltimore, said Lew Friedland, managing director at Colony Capital and head of Colony Industrial in a prepared statement, is “another example of our strategy to selectively acquire infill industrial properties in high-demand markets that provide the critical last-mile link in the delivery cycle.”

CBRE’s Robert Cashman and Jonathan Beard acted as real estate brokers on the transaction.

All together Colony Industrial now owns 24 light industrial logistics buildings in Baltimore. It also acquired, within the last two weeks, the 90,058-square foot 8261 Preston Ct. The building, which is currently vacant, is located within a multi-building industrial park.

Colony Industrial has begun work redeveloping the property, upgrades that include a 40,000-square-foot trailer parking lot and replacing HVAC, among other improvements.

Cashman and Beard acted as real estate brokers on this transaction as well.
