WashREIT Launches Flex Space Program Aimed At Contractors
It is a portfolio-wide program that offers flexible leasing terms.
WASHINGTON, DCāWashREIT has launched a flexible space program called Space+ that is available throughout its entire portfolio and includes private single offices, independent suites and collaborative space.
The program offers short-term leasing and quick move-in options.
Space+ is currently available in 12 buildings in Washington DC and Northern Virginia, with much of the space already leased. The REIT expects to deliver an additional 60,000 square feet of available space in 15 buildings in the next six to eight months, including two floors at Arlington Tower.
WashREIT is hoping to woo contractors in particular to the program. It notes that research it conducted with Congressional Quarterly found that in and around Arlington Tower alone, there are nearly 370 contractors who have recently been awarded or are imminently expecting contract increases greater than 10% in 2018 and increased year-over-year funding in 2019.
