EDGE Opens DC Headquarters For Investment Sales
The office will be the headquarters for the EDGE investment sales platform, which is led by partner Joe Friedman.
WASHINGTON, DC–EDGE Commercial Real Estate has opened a new office at 1828 L St., NW, in the District. The office will be the headquarters for the company’s investment sales platform, which is led by partner Joe Friedman.
Friedman, who joined EDGE earlier this year, has handled investment sales transactions for such companies as Brookfield Properties, Duke Realty, First Potomac Realty Trust, Finmarc Management, and Douglas Development. Friedman serves as co-chair of the NAIOP DC|MD Capital Markets Group and is a member of DC Real Estate Group.
The new EDGE DC office also plans to recruit “entrepreneurial brokers” to build a downtown DC landlord and tenant advisory practice. Friedman noted that a downtown location also enhances the company’s ability to attract and retain top talent.
In addition, he says, “We believe it is important to establish a presence in downtown Washington, DC to maintain strong relationships with the financial institutions, real estate companies and related professionals that are engaged in the capital markets segment.”
