Brandywine Realty To Update Tysons Office

TYSONS, VA–Brandywine Realty Trust has announced plans to update 1676 International Dr. as a part of the company’s vision for its evolving role in the DC market.

“1676 fits into our overall strategy for creating value and expanding our offerings in this established and booming area as well as enhance the tenant and employee experience,” John Norjen, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Brandywine Realty Trust, tells GlobeSt.com.

A 13-story, 300,000-square foot, Class-A building, 1676 will also be adding several amenities designed to attract and retain companies and their employees.

This includes an outside courtyard with a fireplace and lounge, oversized four-season TV, bocce court, putting green and restorative-relaxation areas, Norjen says.

“This courtyard is between 1676 and 8260 Greensboro (which we own as well) and will allow our tenants’ employees the opportunity to take a break from their desks and refresh or socialize during the day and after work,” says Norjen. “We also instructed the architect to design the 1676 International front area to feel as if they are walking into the lobby of the Four Seasons hotel. We will have lounge areas as well as a high-end coffee bar.”

The penthouse amenity suite will have game, networking and collaboration areas including a sky lounge surrounded by two outdoor open-air terraces. The penthouse level will also feature a 120-person conference center and a luxury fitness center.

The building is 96% occupied and renovations are only beginning yet “reception from the marketplace has been tremendous,” Norjen says. “We have had a lot of inquires from both tenants and brokers.”

The renovations for 1676 International Drive is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2019.
