PHILADELPHIA, PA—CBRE named Adam Mullen to succeed Bob Walters, the company’s longtime leader for the Greater Philadelphia region, who will retire at the end of the year. Mullen will be responsible for downtown and suburban Philadelphia, Delaware, southern New Jersey, the Lehigh Valley and Central Pennsylvania.

Bob is one of our longest-tenured and most accomplished market leaders who has guided our Philadelphia area operations to increasingly greater success for more than three decades,” says Matt Van Buren, president, Northeast Division, CBRE. “We thank Bob for his terrific leadership across the decades and wish him the best as he transitions to the next phase of his life.”

Walters will consult with CBRE after his retirement. He has directed CBRE’s Philadelphia area operations since 1984. He has earned several awards for leadership distinction, including the Chairman’s Excellence Award (twice), given to CBRE’s top market leader, and the Trammell Crow Master Builder Award, which recognizes entrepreneurial spirit, drive and vision. Walters joined CBRE as an industrial sales and leasing specialist in 1979.

Before joining CBRE in 2014, Mullen spent almost 10 years in the supply chain consulting industry, building a strong track record in complex supply chain projects and fostering long-term client partnerships.

Adam is the perfect leader to build on the success we have achieved in Philadelphia and throughout the region,” says Van Buren. “He is an outstanding leader who is highly regarded by both our clients and our people, understands our business and culture, and is highly committed to building on the accomplishments made under Bob’s leadership.”
