SAN FRANCISCO—Global biopharmaceutical firm AbbVie Inc. hassigned a long-term lease for approximately 480,000 square feet atBioMed Realty's Gateway of Pacific development currently underconstruction in South San Francisco.
North Chicago, IL-based AbbVie is the first tenant at theGateway campus. BioMed Realty is currently building the first phaseof the 1.4 million square foot Gateway of Pacific campus. The550,000-square-foot building in development is comprised ofstate-of-the-art laboratory and office space and a first-classamenity center housing multiple dining options, a health club,informal meeting spaces and a variety of outdoor recreationareas.
