Alexandria Real Estate Equities’ New Build-to-Suit In Maryland
REGENXBIO has executed a 15-year, 132,000 square foot lease for the building.
ROCKVILLE, MD–Alexandria Real Estate Equities is developing a 132,000 square foot build-to-suit at its Alexandria Life Science and Translational Research Center. The anchor tenant is REGENXBIO, which has executed a 15-year lease for the office/laboratory building to be located at 9800 Medical Center Dr.
Development work has begun for the project, which is fully entitled and is expected to be placed into service in 2020.
REGENXBIO will consolidate multiple sites in the area at the life sciences park.
The 9800 Medical Center Dr. campus currently comprises 282,000 square feet across four existing buildings. When this latest building delivers, it will be approximately 460,000 square feet.
