Cloud Backup Firm Leases 30K SF in Englewood Cliffs' Sylvan Corporate Center

The cloud-based data backup/restore provider OwnBackup is taking an 11 year lease on the space in the class A office building.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJOwnBackup, a cloud-based data backup and restore provider, has signed an 11-year lease for approximately 30,000 square feet of office space at 940 Sylvan Avenue, within the Sylvan Corporate Center in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Sylvan Corporate Center, owned by New York-based Andalex Group, a private investment group, is represented by Frank D. Recine, executive managing director, and Nicolas DeCotiis, associate, both with Jones Lang LaSalle. OwnBackup was represented by Jason Fray, senior managing director; and Harlan Hollander, senior vice president, both with Savills Studley.

OwnBackup will occupy the entire first floor at 940 Sylvan Avenue, which is near the intersection of Sage Road and Sylvan Avenue/Route 9W, in Englewood Cliffs.

JLL was selected by ownership as exclusive leasing agent for Sylvan Corporate Center, located at 910, 920, 930 and 940 Sylvan Avenue in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, in 2017. Sylvan Corporate Center includes four, three-story office buildings, totaling 270,000 square feet of class A office space, all linked by a central lobby. The office complex includes on-site food service, covered parking and on-site management, as well as state-of-the-art telecommunications and infrastructure.

Andalex launched a multimillion capital improvement program to further enhance Sylvan Corporate Center for its users. Sylvan Corporate Center recently welcomed Barnet Products, Wenesco, and Katz & Associates as long-term tenants and welcomed the expansion of Onex Credit Partners at the complex.

Sylvan Corporate Center is located on Sylvan Avenue, also known as Route 9W, and is directly off the first exit on the Palisades Parkways. The complex is just three miles north of the George Washington Bridge and is in close proximity to Interstate 80, Interstate 95 (New Jersey Turnpike), Routes 4, 46, 1 and 9, and the Garden State Parkway.
