Mid-Atlantic Logistics Center

ABERDEEN, MD–Northwestern Mutual and development partner Manekin have broken ground on the Mid-Atlantic Logistics Center a 500,000 square foot warehouse project in Harford County. The building, designed by Baltimore-based Hofmann Associates Architects at 727 Old Philadelphia Rd., will offer 36’ clear ceiling heights, cross dock capabilities with 131 docks doors, 120 foot truck courts and onsite parking for 223 automobiles and 151 trailers.

The project is located off the intersection of Routes 715, 40 and Old Philadelphia Roads, an intersection served by a separated grade interchange. The new facility is expected to be completed in October of 2019.

“We were attracted to the Aberdeen opportunity based on our prior success in the Perryman Peninsula area of Harford County, the existence of a sophisticated highway network that will facilitate deliveries up and down the mid-Atlantic Seaboard and the presence of a talented and skilled workforce that is attractive to a wide range of potential tenants,” said Northwestern Mutual Life’s Regional Director Eric Ekeroth.

Leasing services will be provided by the Baltimore office of Cushman and Wakefield and led by the team of John Wilhide and McLane Fisher.
