Real Estate Forum Wants To Hear About Your Best 2018 Deals

Did you close a major deal in 2018? Real Estate Forum wants to hear from you.

In the upcoming issue, Real Estate Forum will be profiling some of the most significant transactions and developments that took place last year, as well as the people behind those deals.

While we have our eyes closely on the market, there may be a transaction or two that fell under our radar. So we’re turning to you to bring those deals to our attention.

If there’s a transaction or project you’d like to suggest for consideration, please submit your entry via this landing page.

Deadline is Friday, January 11.

What We’re Looking For

We aren’t only seeking big-ticket deals in major markets. We encourage you to submit transactions that not only impact the market, but also illustrate innovation, complexity and creativity. A good rule of thumb is to select a deal that CRE professionals unrelated to your local market or company would want to read about.

All transactions must have closed in calendar year 2018.

Specifically, we will be highlighting:

Investment Sales. Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial and residential real estate (defined as income-producing property), or portfolio transactions. Must include a dollar volume and date of closing.

Leasing Agreements. New, direct leases that took a significant amount of space off the market or has a great impact on the local market or field, such as job creation. We will not accept submissions for leasing transactions that do not disclose the tenant, square footage and lease term. Lease renewals are not eligible unless it involves considerable expansion. Financings. Debt & equity originations or restructurings. Must include dollar volume and terms, borrower, lender(s) and date of closing.

Development and Redevelopment Projects. Must have been delivered to market during calendar year 2018. Unfinished projects will not be considered, unless the development is being built in phases. In those cases, the significant phase must have been completed in 2018.

Mergers & Acquisitions. These do not include solely portfolio transactions (those are investment sales), unless the properties traded along with the company’s operations.

Deals Involving Multiple Components. Since most of today’s deals involve various moving pieces, there is a category for these complex transactions. Only the portions completed in 2018 will be judged. Please indicate clearly the transaction’s various components, the parties involved in each and the timeline of the development.
