PBS has signed a 15-year lease at 1225 S. Clark Street in National Landing, an office building owned by JBG Smith. The media company will be moving from the nearby 2100 Crystal Dr. in mid-2020 to take 120,328 square feet in its new office building.

National Landing, of course, will be home to Amazon's co-headquarters and as the major landlord in the submarket JBG Smith is pouring resources and efforts to redevelop it into a destination suitable for Amazon's massive investment. “This continued long-term commitment by PBS to stay within the submarket further validates our excellent location, as well as our many planned improvements for the neighborhood,” says David Ritchey, Executive Vice President for the REIT.

“The relocation and extension of the PBS lease is also indicative of our plan to retain and attract diverse industries to National Landing, including associations and non-profits,” he adds.

PBS was represented by Paul Darr, Dale Powell and Chaise Schmidt with Cushman and Wakefield.
