WeWork Leases a Portion of Three Floors at Las Colinas

WeWork is leasing 77,000 square feet at the Towers at Williams Square on three floors in the central tower, which will be the shared workspace provider’s first site in a suburban market in North Texas.

WeWork plans to open collaborative workspace on the 11th, 12th and 14th floors of the central tower.

IRVING, TX—WeWork is leasing 77,000 square feet at the Towers at Williams Square, the office towers that have long defined the skyline of the Las Colinas Urban Center. This is WeWork’s first site in a suburban market in North Texas. The company plans to open the collaborative workspace on the 11th, 12th and 14th floors of the Towers of Williams Square’s central tower during the third quarter of 2019.

“There’s a great deal of interest in space at the Towers at Williams Square from innovative companies such as WeWork because of the building’s legacy, its strategic location and the city’s business-friendly environment,” said Bill Brokaw, senior vice president with Hillwood. “As the city of Irving continues working with residents and surrounding businesses on redesigning the plaza and augmenting the existing amenities, we’re confident we will remain a preferred corporate location.”

WeWork provides shared workspaces in the form of office suites, private offices and other options for individual and corporate users. The shared workspace provider offers its customers round-the-clock front-desk service, along with utilities and security for employee events. Its amenities include high-speed Internet connectivity, daily cleaning service, IT support, office supplies, bike storage, social events and networking opportunities, business-class printers, mail and package handling, private phone booths, micro-roast coffee, and craft beer on draft.

Brokaw, the property manager for The Towers at Williams Square, represented the Williams Square ownership team, which is composed of Apollo Global Real Estate, Vanderbilt Partners and Hillwood Urban.

The Towers at Williams Square is composed of a 26-story center tower flanked by two 14-story towers and an adjacent five-story tower to round out the space. It is known for its distinctive pink granite and architecture. The plaza is home to the Mustangs at Las Colinas, a life-sized bronze equestrian sculpture that is among the top tourist attractions in North Texas. The office towers serve as the centerpiece of the Las Colinas Urban Center, which was developed by Ben Carpenter who transformed his family ranch into a master-planned community.

Las Colinas is located midway between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field along State Highway 114 and in close proximity to Interstate 35E. The DART rail line connects Las Colinas to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
