TAMPA—Barry Hanerfeld, who served as managing director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office, has joined CBRE’s office leasing team here as senior vice president.

Hanerfeld’s move marks the third Cushman Tampa executive to join CBRE’s Tampa operation in the past two months.

Hanerfeld, who leased more than 4 million square feet of office space since 2008 when he joined Cushman & Wakefield, will report to Mike DiBlasi, the newly appointed managing director of CBRE’s Tampa office, who left Feldman Equities and joined CBRE in February.

“We have great momentum going on in Tampa, and we are excited to bring Barry on board. He is a perfect addition to our team,” says DiBlasi. “He brings a wealth of experience to the team, and we look forward to his contributions.”

Hanerfeld began his real estate career in 1986 when he worked with Long & Foster Commercial Real Estate Services Group in Washington, DC through 1990. He then relocated to Tampa and from 1990 through 2008 and served as director of leasing for The Wilson Company and managed a portfolio of 3 million square feet.

CBRE has hired two other brokers earlier this year from Cushman & Wakefield—KC Tenukas and Ryan Reynolds—who both joined CBRE in March as senior vice presidents.

Other recent additions to CBRE’s Tampa operations have included Frank Carriera and Michael Regan, who both joined CBRE in December 2018 from Marcus & Millichap.
