Michael Zelin Joins C&W’s Capital Markets Team

Zelin, who will be a managing director at C&W, joins from Eastdil Secured, where he was senior vice president.

WASHINGTON, DC—Michael Zelin has been recruited for Cushman & Wakefield’s DC Metro Region Capital Markets team. Zelin, who will be a managing director at C&W, joins from Eastdil Secured, where he was senior vice president. He spent 12 years at Eastdil Secured in its DC and Los Angeles offices, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to Eastdil, Zelin spent five years with Jones Lang LaSalle, working in its San Francisco, Hong Kong and Shanghai offices.

Zelin will work alongside finance veteran, Marshall Scallan and advise institutional and private clients on debt, equity and structured finance transactions, including office, hospitality, retail, industrial, construction and multifamily properties. His recent deals include The Wharf, The Woodies Building, Square 696, the Washington Hilton and Midtown Center.

Bill Collins, executive vice chairman of the DC Metro Region’s Capital Markets team noted that the debt, equity and structured finance has racked up many successes over the past few years. Along with existing members, Paul Collins, Drew Flood, Eric Berkman, Shaun Weinberg, Shaun Collins, and Kaleigh Jones, Zelin and Scallan represent a major component of its strategy within the region, he said in a prepared statement.
