Los AngelesLos Angeles apartment rents are on an upswing again, after flat growth at the end of the year. According to the latest report from Apartment List, the average rent for a two-bedroom apartment increased 0.8% in April, marking three consecutive months of rent growth.

Los Angeles rents are less affordable than the national average. The median two-bedroom apartment is $1,750 in Los Angeles, while the national average is $1,180 for a two-bedroom.

In addition to Los Angeles city, the entire Los Angeles metro had an increase in apartment rents last month. Of the 10 cities that Apartment List tracks in the Greater L.A. area, all of them have had a rise in prices. However, while rental rates are rising again, the momentum of growth is still lower than the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 calendar years.
