GPI Cos. has names David Woodbury as director. In the position, he will focus on acquisition, development and asset management for the firm, which focuses on multifamily and commercial investments, including mixed-use and retail properties. GPI Cos. has more than $1 billion in assets under management

Woodbury joins the firm from CIM Group, where he served as associated VP, focusing on new investments and asset management. During his tenure with CIM, he was responsible for $1 billion in transactions, both acquisitions and dispositions, as well as $300 million in financing deals. Woodbury has an MBA and Bachelor degree from Stanford University.

In addition, GPI also hired Alex Akhtarzad as an acquisitions and development associate. He joins the firm from Colony Capital.
