NY Moving Company Leases Nearly 18K in Linden

LINDEN, NJ—Jordan East River, a moving and storage company headquartered in the Bronx, NY, has leased 17,509 square feet of space at 1416 East Linden Ave. here. The deal brings the 84,600-square-foot industrial property to 100% occupancy.

The transaction was reported by Bussel Realty Corp. The Edison, NJ-based industrial brokerage firm’s SVP Jordan Metz represented the landlord, Palacci Group. CBRE represented Jordan East River, a moving and storage company in the NY metro region.

Metz adds that the New Jersey ports submarket is very tight at the moment, with total vacancy rates hovering below 1.5%.

On its company website, Jordan East River lists its headquarters location at 728 E 136th St. in the Bronx and two locations in Manhattan—20 East 46th St. and 1955 1st Ave. The company also has a warehouse location at 163 East Union Ave. in East Rutherford, NJ.

1416 East Linden Ave. is located near Newark Liberty Airport and Ports Newark/Elizabeth as well as the Holland Tunnel. The property, which sits on 2.75 acres, features 16-foot ceiling heights, four loading docks and one oversized drive-in door, wet sprinklers and 400 amps of electric.

Last month, in a transaction brokered by Bussel Realty Corp., Art Scroll 313 Regina Avenue LLC acquired 313 Regina Ave., the former Regina Vacuum Building in Rahway, NJ, a 256,000-square-foot industrial facility, for $19.75 million.
