ATLANTA and ORLANDO—WeWork has signed a lease for office space in Orlando, signaling its entry into the market.

The WeWork community will be in downtown Orlando at Piedmont Office Realty Trust’s Class A tower at 200 South Orange Ave., also known as SunTrust Center, and is slated to open in early 2020.

WeWork will occupy three floors of the tower, with more than 70,000 square feet of workspace for more than 1,000 WeWork members. WeWork members will also have access to the on-site fitness center and conference center.

Piedmont, one of the largest owners of Class A office space in metropolitan Orlando, recently unveiled plans for major upgrades at the project including a full lobby renovation, redesign and activation program for the property’s park, a new rooftop terrace, and a food hall offering multiple cuisines.

WeWork worked closely with Piedmont to execute the lease, as well as coordinated with the Orlando Economic Partnership and the City of Orlando.
