New Partnership Tackles Affordable Housing in Denver

Elevation Community Land Trust and the City of Aurora are partnering to create permanent affordable housing over the next five years for 50 families in Aurora.

Elevation Community Land Trust and the City of Aurora are partnering to create permanent affordable housing over the next five years for 50 families in Aurora living at or below 80% of the median area income. For a family of four, that is an annual income of $74,240 or less.

Under the partnership, Elevation Community Land Trust will acquire and remodel homes that can be purchased by qualifying Aurora residents. Working with the city of Aurora, these houses will remain affordable for generations.

Elevation Community Land Trust uses the scattered site model to protect from gentrifying neighborhoods. It has already planned a mix of single-family homes, condominiums and townhomes in the northwest part of the city.
