Allen Matkins has named Jeffrey Patterson as managing partner. He will succeed David Osias, who has held the position since 2012. Patterson will assume the role on July 1, and will become the third managing partner since the firm's inception in 1977.

Patterson has served in a number of leadership positions. He has served as operating partner in the firm's San Diego office and as the company-wide general counsel and on the firm's management committee.

As managing partner, Patterson will implement and drive both internal and client-facing initiatives. Osias will resume his water rights and receivership practices.
